Product Highlight: Shimmer Simplicity!

Hiyas!

Would you like to try a new colouring method or add a wee bit of shimmer to your projects? Then you will love Twinkling H2O's because they are simple and fun to use and boy do they look good!

Michelle shows how easy it is to shimmer colour with Twinkling H2O's

Michelle, one of our fab NZ Scrapbook Teaching Team members and avid Scrapbooker spent the morning yesterday working on a Christmas Album (2004! Michelle you are doing better than me!). Keen to try out her new Twinkling H2O's she stamped away with the new KaiserChristmas doodle stamps, added a bit of Twinklings and the result was VERY pretty.

Twinkling H2O's come in cute paint pots

Twinkling H2O's are solid when you open them. Just like using solid water colour paints you simply dip your brush in water and brush over the surface of the paint until you reach the consistency you desire. Our favourite and easy technique is to use water phial pens. These pens are hollow and you fill with water from the tap. The water then flows down to the brush tip ready to dip into your twinklings!

The finished result - Shimmery!

This is a great technique to colour lettering, shade borders or around photos, add a touch of colour to cards and images just like this. Twinkling H2O's and Water Pens are available in store.

New Zealand Scrapbook are hiring!

Do you love scrapbooking? Can you dual wield deckle edge scissors while simultaneously setting an eyelet all the while singing a chorus of "I've been everywhere man" AND keeping Paula away from the chocolate stash? ... hmm...cos if you can I'd like to see that! hehehe...Anyways!

We are expanding our teaching team! We are looking for enthusiastic scrapbookers and paper crafters with an eye for detail, good communication and people skills. Previous teaching experience would be beneficial but not necessary as support will be given.

Most of our classes run in the evening or the weekend so you would need to be available at those times. Our teaching positions are flexible. Successful applicants can schedule classes from 1-2 per week to once per month.

We have a couple of teaching options.
  • NZ Scrapbook & Manufacturer designed classes that require sample creation and teaching. Renumeration is on an hourly rate.
  • Teacher designed classes (class is designed by you). Renumeration is on a base rate with a per head attendance bonus.
We are also looking for another 1-2 Birthday Party Hostess's. Pam has been doing a fantastic job running these and now we now need to job share! We are looking for someone who loves kids, a good communicator, likes to have a bit of fun and is available Saturdays and the occasional after school. Hostess's run the party which includes a project and game/s, set up and tidy away. Total time approx 3hours per class.

If these positions sound like you, we would love to hear from you! Phone 09 912 0665.

Off the page Gingerbread Man decorated with Cheer paper collection

Kaiser Craft Christmas products have arrived! These have been a much anticipated arrival and now is the time to get started on those personalized handmade cards, Christmas decorations and gifts. Also, this is a great time to choose from a full range of Christmas scrapbooking supplies to scrap those years past!

While most companies bring out just one or two Christmas paper ranges, Kaiser Craft have offered up SIX new paper ranges that will delight all tastes! From the Wish Upon collection with its pastel holly and subtle stars... to Dash Away All with its strong traditional designs of rich reds and greens...

the real question is: how to choose?!

As always, Kaiser Craft excels in their Beyond The Page products and when you see the inspiration in the latest FREE Kaiser Workshop magazine prepare to be wowed! My personal favourites are the Days Til Christmas freestanding advent tree (page20) with its interchangeable hanging number tags, the Gingerbread Men (page 13) - oh so cute! and the Bauble Tag Album (page 23) - very very pretty, I would love to see a Baby’s first Christmas inspired by this project.

Show Time

Recently Linda attended the Craft and Quilt Show down at Hamilton.

Wendy and I travelled down for the day with Ann H and caught up with Linda while we were there.

This was a busy show and the amount of people in the stand was amazing, Linda was kept very busy!

Linda and Kathleen are away at SENZ this weekend and the shop.gurls are eager for details of how the show went, but that will have to wait until they return.

Holiday Fun

The holidays are now over and last week our fantastic holiday programme tutor Barbara had loads of fun with the children during several different classes.

Here are a few pics to show you what the children got up to.

And at the end of each class the children were lucky enough to sample some delicious baking made by Barbara (Her banana cake rocks!)

Thank you Barbara......Your classes are awesome!
