Wow! Another amazing week of sunshine! It’s been great to see so many of you sun kissed folks enjoying the outdoors and then visiting us to collect your supplies for some cooler indoor scrapbooking and paper crafting. If you didn’t already know this, we are OPEN 9am – 9pm Monday through Saturday (closed Sunday). We love offering you these wonderful opening hours and are happy you are making the most of them too! I’ve also enjoyed helping many of our younger crafters this week, not only with our school holiday program but also with selecting creative goodies to jazz up school books, diaries and folders. Scrapbooking products such as patterned papers, stickers, embellishments, inks and paints are perfect for this and an excellent way to make your stationary creative and unique. Perhaps express you or your child’s personality and interests by choosing themed products such as horse-riding, sports, beach and cooking to name a few. Another way you may wish to be involved with your child’s creativity is our Parent & Child workshops. We have one running this Saturday 2nd February at 1pm. Linda takes this class and she will lead you and your child through some simple and fun pages on a smaller format. Suggested ages are 4 – 7years and the class fee is $20 including materials. NEW Basic Grey: Two Scoops

On these hot summer days we have been enjoying there is something quite magical about enjoying an ice-cream on the beach. Inspired by such days Basic Grey have released their Two Scoops range. We are talking creamy mints, lemons and strawberry pinks. Oh so pretty and very very yummy!

Basic Grey’s Two Scoop range is in store now. 12”x12” patterned papers, 6”x 6”paper pads, Chip Stickers, lettering and gorgeous clear stamps. Stay tuned for Jo’s Fresh Technique workshop that’s coming up – a little birdie told me her first class will be using the new Two Scoops Range.

Tim Holtz is such a talented artist crafter and we have just got in an extensive range of his storage suitcases. Currently we have a great selection of his Distress Ink pads and Alcohol Inks plus now these fabulous metal cases. Grungeboard coming soon. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!

Jamie Waters Class Success!

Hi all!
Its been a great start to January. Having our lovely guest tutor Jamie Waters all the way from the USA was a wonderful start to our 2008 class schedule. It was a real pleasure to get to know Jamie and her husband Chris during their stay. And I know by the smiling faces and positive feedback we received from the class participants that you'll who attended enjoyed her sweet nature and informative classes too!

Just a little note about the afternoon tea. Yes, we had scheduled a morning tea earlier in our plans but has been rescheduled to an afternoon tea to take place following the 1pm class. All are welcome and will start approximately 3.30pm - 4pm.

Happy New Year. Classes Galore!

I hope 2008 has started wonderfully for you! It has been great to see so many of our out-of-Auckland friends over the holiday period.

Speaking of out of area friends, an extra special welcome to our International Guest Tutor, Jamie Waters who is now enjoying our New Zealand Summer! She is kicking off our 2008 class schedule and we are looking forward to learning some fun and fresh scrapbooking techniques at her workshops THIS FRIDAY the 11^th January. We have 10spaces still available for her 1pm class (followed by a free afternoon tea) and just 5spaces available for her 6.30pm class. Class fee is $75. You will create three creative scrapbook page layouts and a bonus card project. Class fee includes kit materials. You don’t want to miss this once off event so phone us on (09) 912 0665 to book your seat.

For all adult scrapbookers: Jamie Waters workshop (see above)

For beginner and intermediate scrapbookers and paper crafters: The week of Monday 14^th – 18^th January we have ‘Summer School’. This is an adult series of classes run at 10am each day. Come to one or come to all five. Each class is $25 and includes all materials. Projects include scrapbook layouts, cards, star book and a canvas class.

For beginner scrapbookers: Technique Tuesday. Tuesday 22^nd January 9.30am & 7pm. $20 including materials.

For Cricut owners: Cricut Scrapbook Layout Class, Wednesday 16^th Jan 7pm. $20including materials Please bring your Cricut machine.

For Cuttlebug owners: Cuttlebug Cards using 2step Heart die Wednesday 23^rd Jan 9.30am and 7pm. $32 includes materials and 2step heart die. Please bring your Cuttlebug machine.

For young children: NEW Parent and Child class. Recommended age 5-8years plus a parent or guardian. Create a scrapbook page together. Saturday 19^th Jan, 1pm. $20 including materials.

For kids: Kids Crop. Saturday 19^th Jan, 3pm. $12 including materials.

Kids School Holiday Program. Monday 21^st – Friday 25^th Jan. 10am each day. $15 per class including materials.
