New Heritage Class - weekly layouts!

Welcome to new Heritage Class teacher Deborah McCullough! Deborah has been making heritage pages for some years now and we are excited for her to be sharing such lovely layouts in her workshops.

Heritage refers to those black and white family photos - often of generations before - that need slightly special treatment to our usual recent family, celebration and location pics. The style of layout generally reflects the era of the photos in colours and detail. It can be hard to know where to start with photos of this sort - hence our Heritage classes that we have run in the past have been very popular. Come along and let Deborah help you make an album that honors your family history.

Heritage Classes will be running every Tuesday evening at 7pm. Each week will be a different page layout for you to create with opportunity to adjust titles and papers according to the photos you are working with.

Here are the layouts for the first two weeks:

A stunning cream and black layout with a beautiful pleated border

Detail of the pleated border

In the second workshop (8th of June) you will be creating this lovely French Noticeboard styled page layout.

Cuttlebug full day class!

If you are a regular follower of our Blog you are probably aware of the Top Secret Cuttlebug Class - 110 Technique class series (try saying that quickly! hehe).

We have had numerous requests to run it on the weekend so that our ladies coming from some distance can make a day of it. So here goes!

Top Secret Cuttlebug Class - Updated with 110 Techniques
Date: Saturday 29th May
Time: 9am - 5pm
Class fee: $80 includes materials, morning and afternoon tea
Please bring: Cuttlebug and boards, adhesives and your basic kit (scissors, pencil, ruler)

In this class you will learn a huge variety of Cuttlebug techniques featuring many different art and craft materials and mediums. Each technique is created as a swatch with instructions that will become a valuable reference for you when making future paper craft projects.

We can't fit the full 110 techniques into one day however we can fit the first four classes which will give you a pretty good start at exactly 50 techniques. By request we will run the remaining 60 techniques on a Saturday at a later date.

We will provide morning and afternoon tea. Please bring a packed lunch with you or there are food outlets nearby if you wish to purchase your lunch. We are open until 9pm so there will be time to browse the store if you wish.

About the class requirements.
A class like this requires pens and its just not possible to service a class like this with a class pen supply :)
We will keep our pen list as short as possible to make it as economical as we can. If you are coming with a friend you may share. If you have the colours already then bring them with you CLEARLY LABELED. We want you to go home with your pens too :) We advise that you will need the colours we suggest. Not all reds, blues etc are the same when it comes to Copic colouring methods and we want you to get the best results with your projects.

Colour numbers will be advised - we haven't made the samples yet but wanted to get the dates up on the calender so you can plan ahead.

Look forward to seeing you then!
