...So the cover story is that my Mum and Aunt went to San Fransisco for my sisters wedding. They got back today, but judging by this video the wedding wasn't the full story!!!

Product Preview: Three Bugs in a rug Take Home Project Instructions

Hi folks!

As promised the Three Bugs in a rug Take Home Project Instructions for your creating pleasure! :)

  1. Trim the black and white dot patterned paper into a 12” x 4” strip and adhere with the red floral design face up approximately 1” from the bottom of the black 12” x12” cardstock.
  2. Trim the remnant piece of black and white dot patterned paper to 12” x 1” and adhere with the dot side up so it aligns with the top edge of the red floral design on your layout.
  3. Adhere cropped photos to the top edge of the black and white dot patterned paper.
  4. Cut the scallop cherry designs from the other patterned paper strip and set aside one large scallop design for the title. Layer the rest with foam tape to the top edge of your layout, trimming the top edge where necessary. Layer some designs on top of the patterned paper strips of your layout according to the example.
  5. On the large scallop design that you set aside for the title, pencil draw your title then hand stitch over the drawn lines with the embroidery cotton.
  6. Hand stitch a swirl design onto the black and white dot patterned paper, allowing the stitching to overlap over the photos and red floral design paper.

Product Preview Materials List

Hi all!
What a beautiful Monday! Loving that sun :) Hope it's bright shiny where you are.

A wee note about what to bring for our Product Previewers coming to tomorrow nights Product Preview: Three Bugs in a Rug "It's snugly in here!"

Kit List to bring:
Basic Kit - Cutting Mat, Craft knife/scalpel, Ruler, Paper Trimmer
Adhesives - Gluestick and Photosplits
Optional pink or blue ink pad

Photos - If you are bringing photos with you, our sample contains 17 highly cropped photos. You could use less photos if you wish. If you have time, I suggest cropping your photos before attending as cropping that number of photos takes quite a bit of time.

A handy hint you may not know about is you can print your photos small at some of the photo printing kiosks. I go to Camera House and as you click through the options you will come up to a screen that says "Print digital prints" or "Print Mobile Phone prints" - select Mobile phone even though you might be working from a camera card or CD. Then when it comes to selecting photo sizes you can select 2 or 4 images per 4" x6" photo. I used the 2 images option for this project. VERY easy way to get small prints!

You are welcome to make the Memory Box without photos and add photos at a later time.

Anyways, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. If you haven't booked in for this event and would like to come please phone 09 912 0665 to book your space. More info can be found at THIS link.

Byes for now
