I am diggin' these weekly Product Preview events. I know there is not much notice but it means we get the product out on to the shelf for you so much sooner :)

This week, one of our favourite brands - Graphic 45. I have been looking forward to this coming in... Three brand new collections and they are all beeeautiful.

To give you a HUGE taster I am going to show you the three keynote pieces from each collections and the entire collection of each are stunning.

At this Product Preview event we will be making a feminine layout full of pretty texture using the beautiful Graphic 45 collection papers Le Romantique. During the evening you will be treated to dessert, have assistance from our teachers and complete the project page for your album. Plus receive a Take Home Project too! This event is suitable for beginners and advanced scrapbookers.

Crop Night

Crop nights are an open night to work on your pages and have helpful assistance from our friendly Crop Tutor Michelle Reid. Come along on your own or with a group for progress on your pages, cup of tea and chat plus you have the whole store selection at your fingertips so you can choose that perfect paper or embellishment.

Crop nights are just $10 to attend and we keep a tab for you during the evening of any products you may wish to purchase. No bookings necessary. All welcome!

Coffee & Chocolate Handmade Book Workshop
Thursday 25th February at 6.30pm
with follow up class at Altered Book Club Thursday 11th March at 6.30pm
Class fee: $65.00 Including materials/collage pack


In this special class you will receive a wonderful collage pack of Seven Gypsies book covers and pages, fabrics, patterned paper and cardstock. Plus a huge selection of coffee and chocolate collage images. Treats from Caffe L'affare too!!

Techniques include Coffee dying, collage and gesso stamping.


In the first evening we will create the main structure of the book by working on our background pages, learn background page dying and stamping techniques and start putting our books together. The followup to this class (optional) at our Altered Book Club evening on the 11th March, 6.30pm we will continue working on your books adding collage images and embellishments.



MEGA Crop:

Date: Friday 26th February Time: 6pm till Midnight Mega crop of scrapbooking! Lots of fun. Bring your current projects to work on. There will also be a mini Make'n'take project, scrapbooking game and supper.

Hi folks,
This is the layout for Wednesday night's Product Preview: Teresa Collins Designs. I keep toying with the idea of adding more embellishments but I quite like the sophisticated simplicity of the fancy cutting and pearl/silver combination.. so it may change slightly!

2010 New seasons products are coming in.

Be the first to check out the elegant new ranges from designer Teresa Collins at our Product Preview event this Wednesday 24th February at 7pm.

Teresa Collins tasteful and chic compositions are a delight. At this Product Preview we will will be making a wedding themed scrapbook page using the new Mr & Mrs Collection. So bring a wedding photo - it doesn't have to be your own - it can be a friend or parent or just come along and add a photo later. (Photo of the layout will be added to this Blog Monday/Tuesday)

Other new collections include Welcome Home, Chic Bebe Boy and Chic Bebe Girl. Products available in store for purchase from Wednesday evening.

NEW Daytime Crop!

Hi all,

By request we have now added a DAYTIME Crop to our current class schedule - Yays!

We realise not everyone can attend evening workshops so this is a Crop class where you can work on your own pages with the helpful assistance of our Crop tutor. Perfect for beginners who want a little extra help as well as intermediate/advanced scrapbookers who would like some scheduled scrapbooking time.

Our first daytime Crop is this Wednesday and will run fortnightly.

Product Preview Kaisercraft Take Home Project instructions

Made With Love party favour box instructions

1. Fold the pink cardstock in half so the two short ends are aligned and press the fold so it is crisp.
2. With a ruler find the center of the two short (open edge) ends. Fold from the center in a diagonal fold to the outer edge of the folded short end. Repeat for both sides. (hopefully the photos help!)
3. The cardstock now resembles a triangle pocket. Carefully fill with lollies or a gift and press the narrow sides together. Punch a hole through all four layers and tie with the decorative fibers. Cut out 3-4 small hearts and glue to the ends of the fibers for additional decoration.
4. Cut thin strips of the tiny heart paper and curl them into tendrils by wrapping them around a thin item such as a paintbrush. Attach the tendrils to the front of the gift box with glue dots or strong tape.
5. Adhere cut out hearts and a paper flower onto the top of the curled paper. Decorate with Kindyglitz.

Layout project for Wednesday

Single large photo layout project

Hi friends!

Here is the layout project for this Wednesday night's Kaisercraft Product Preview event. This layout designed by Melissa Kennedy featured in the Kaisercraft Q3 Magazine uses the new Shaken Not Stirred collection.

We will be making glittered lettering to use on the layout and the title can be adapted if desired. The original layout uses a photograph cropped to a 7 1/2" diameter circle. Your photo therefore would need to be printed 8 1/2" x 11" to accommodate. Alternatively we can print a colour copy of your photo at the required size on cardstock on the night. We have created an option that uses four 4"x6" photographs.
