Hi friends,
Talk about down to the wire!  A few more grey hairs but totally worth it.  Our new store is aweeee-some.   Directly opposite Hoyts Wairau, next to Arthur Toye.  You can't miss us!

Moving in this weekend so we should be good for opening with brand new collections at our new address Tuesday 3rd April.

Storyboard Layout Workshop - Thursday evening

Scrapbooking Techniques with Tracy this week features a storyboard style layout. This is a great way to showcase a number of photos from the same event or show a progression over time.  Bring four - seven photos 4"x6" or smaller that can be cropped.  There will be colour choices available so you can choose the best fit for your photos.

It's a short month this month - well at least for us here at NZ Scrapbook.  If you have been following our emails you will know we are moving premises at the end of the month so therefore we have popped Mega Crop in a week early.  Mega Crop is this Friday 23rd March, 6pm - Midnight.

Another lovely layout by Tracy to add to your ever growing scrapbook album.  Or is your album not growing quite as quickly as you wish?  Coming to a class will give you a completed scrapbook page in one evening AND learn and be inspired by new ideas and techniques you may not have tried.



In this layout you will use pretty Basic Grey lace paper, Kaisercraft Tiny Woods collection papers and Bazzill Two Scoops sanded papers.  Too much fun!

All levels of scrapbooker welcome.

Artist Trading Card Swap - Seasons theme

Artist Trading Cards from our bird theme swap

Hi arty dudes and dudettes,
Altered Book Club are on a roll with Artist Trading Cards.  I think we are up to our fifth(?) monthly swap. Artist Trading Cards are mini artworks that are traded among artists and friends.  My collection spans cards from around the world... would you like to start your own collection? It is easy and fun!

This month our theme is SEASONS.  The weather sure has been a hot topic, well since before December with our unseasonal grey summer.  Perhaps you have a favourite season or a certain image or idea you associate with each season.  For example Winter Artist Trading Cards could have glistening snowflakes or wooly knitwear images.



Choose a season then make 15 Artist Trading Cards at the dimensions 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and don't forget to include your series title and personal details on the reverse.  I usually suggest making your cards production line style with each card being the same or similiar but it's up to you!

Come along to Altered Book Club meeting Thursday 22nd March at 6.30pm to exchange cards.  You will leave with one of your own and 14ish unique cards from other art enthusiasts.

A wee bit cheeky... and way too cute Layout

This week at our Thursday night Scrapbooking Techniques with Tracy workshop, Tracy will be teaching this beautiful shimmery bird and flower layout designed by Chantelle.  It would be worth noticing how what would be typically girly imagery that it works just as well for boy photos! 

You are invited to join us and create this layout from 7pm Thursday 8th March.  Our classes are fun and informal with products provided to complete the layout.  Suitable for beginners and experienced scrapbookers alike.
