Cricut Gypsy (and now Expressions) catch up!

Last week Cricut Gypsy expert Gina had a great morning sharing ideas and techniques for using the Cricut Gypsy... and as a result the participants set themselves some homework to practice what they learned and will be back this week with more questions and queries on advanced ideas.

Cricut Gypsy goes hand in hand with the Cricut Expressions so we are opening up this morning catch up session for those of you who also have questions regarding the use of the Expressions machine.

Find out exactly how to do that technique you have seen but just don't know where to start.. Gina may just have the answer (thanks Gina!! ).

Just $15 to attend, there is no formal project but lots of information and personalized demonstrations. Morning tea provided.

Cuttlebug 110 Techniques Workshops 5 - 8
Date: Saturday 7th August
Time: 9am - 4pm

Please bring: Your Cuttlebug, boards, scissors, adhesives and a packed lunch or there are food vendors nearby.

Continuing with our weekend Cuttlebug series - that is, we ran 1-4 workshops about 6 weeks ago. This Saturday we have Workshops 5, 6, 7 & 8. If you didn't make it to the first four that is fine, you are still welcome to come along for this session. This is a great way to expand on your Cuttlebug techniques. Artist Trading Cards - Commonly known as ATC's are a popular hobby among artists and crafters as a way of sharing their art and collecting little pieces from other artists and around the world.
In this class we will be making textured backgrounds, learning about designing a series, embellishment ideas and the basics of ATC's. We will each make a series of cards and then there will be opportunity for trading at the end if you wish. Class fee includes an image pack for future Artist Trading Card creation.

Class fee: $25 Including materials.

Taught by staff member David Simpson this class is for all men who wish to make their Mum, wife, girlfriend, sister, daughter, co-worker.. pretty much any girlie type a handmade card and gift bag. A sure win! Don't worry boys - there are tools for scrapbooking too and David will lead the way. No crafting experience necessary. Would be suitable for Dads and sons to attend together.

New Cricut Cartridges have arrived!

Hello Cricut Fans!

That's right! The new Cricut cartridges are here. There are two new cartridges available and we have had a play with them both.... lets just say they have well and truly made it onto the shop.gurls shopping lists!

First up is Graphically Speaking. Inspired by contemporary advertising and bold designs, Graphically Speaking gives you a huge range of words, frames, logo style designs and phrases. I especially love how they have been created with layering in mind.

The second new release is Storybook Cartridge. Being a bit of a romantic type (true! hehehee) this one really catches my eye. Check out the variety in the alphabets - upper and lower!!! Loving all those flourishes and vines... oooh and birds, butterflies and crowns. Nice!

Cricut & Cuttlebug News!

Hi!
Well I've well and truly been bitten by the Cricut and Cuttlebug bug, I just cant wait to get my hands on the new products that are coming, and some that are already here!
First things first -
Beat the price rise on the Cricut Expressions Machine! The Cricut Expressions have had a price increase to $799 however you can buy now while stocks last and get it for the old price of $749! This offer is available both in store and on our website, so be in quick!

Check out the new Cricut Create machine The Cricut Create is similar to the Cricut Personal Cutter in size, but can compete with the Cricut Expression for its functionality. The Cricut Create has five new functions (which are also available on the Cricut Expression) - Rotate/Portrait, Fit to page, Auto Fill, Flip and Centre Point. It also comes with a completely new featured cartridge - Don Juan.
This machine is fantastic if you don't have the space for the Cricut Expressions Machine and want the portability, but you need a little more functionality than the original Cricut offers.

Next we have the new Cricut Jukebox - no, it doesn't play music while you scrap, it plays all of your cartridges at once. No more tedious waiting while you wait for your machine to power up and down as you switch out the cartridges, you can have 6 cartridges in per Jukebox - and you can stack them!
The base has handy storage for your overlays and design books, and the handle makes it easily portable.

Also take a look at the EIGHT recent Cricut Solution releases HERE. The nifty thing about the solutions cartridges is that they are tailored to meet your specific project needs. The Cricut Solutions font cartridges contain one full alphabet with Shadow and Shadow Blackout features. The Cricut Solutions shape cartridges contain 50 shapes with Shadow and Blackout features. These are basic cartridges without the extra creative features, but this is also reflected in the lower price - plus, for those of you with the Cricut Design Studio, you'll still be able to manipulate these images to your hearts desire.


Did I say there there was Cuttlebug News? Well stop holding your breath folks, the long awaited Christmas embossing folders are coming!
Not only that, but there are awesome new border embossers, 3x3 and A2 Cut & Emboss Combos, and plenty of new A2 embossers to choose from. These items are due for release in two batches, some are July, some are August. You can pre-order online or in store to ensure you don't miss out on these great new designs.
