Girls Creative Night Out - Photo Report

Leanne with her layout - purrty cat

Its been a while since I last did a photo report on one of our events - hopefully not too rusty!
Last week we had a special event night Girls Creative Night Out creating a pretty layered layout using the gorgeous Mariposa collection of papers from Die Cuts with a View.

It was a blast to get all together, we had new scrapbookers and seasoned pros - everyone had a great time. Check out the pics....

Lots of creating activity

Machine stitching details are my very favourite thing. Crystal and Charmaine show us how its done.

A bit of chit chat too

Some concentrated detail work

Cutting cutting cutting..

One of the many finished layouts

And of course prize winners too. Each lucky lady won a set of the Mariposa papers.

As you can see a fun time by all. Stay tuned for more fun upcoming events.

Have a FANTABULOUS weekend... come visit!

Oh! Yes there are a FEW kits left. Each kit comes with a photo of the layout, full instructions and materials. Phone 09 912 0665 if you would like one.

Product Preview: Basic Grey "Euphoria" Report

Hi all,

Time for the photo report from Friday's Product Preview: Basic Grey "Euphoria"

Now I know I say this every time, but we really did have a great time. Lots of fun, lots of page making and lots of prizes ... check it out!:

It takes a fair amount of time to register more than sixty people through the door. So while we are waiting for arrivals, participants are invited to enjoy juice and on this particular night pink lemonade in the time leading up to the start of the event.

Final preparations are being made upstairs. Look what was waiting for our participants!

Note: I think I got a bit confused joining the above picture into a panoramic - but you get the idea!

Us girls are always up for a challenge and love a bit of atmospheric lighting. Scrapbooking by candlelight anyone? Who says you need to see to make great pages? hehehee.

Ok, I am kidding there about scrapbooking in the dark :) Each person had a lit candle at their seat. Our second project took this unassuming party candle and mini-kit to an Euphoric this...

without the wax colour change!

The candle is wrapped with Basic Grey Euphoric paper, tied with ribbon. The flower images are the Euphoric stamps carefully cut out and layered onto the front of the candle with a pink rhinestone, and Kindyglitz to complete.

So yes, the lights DID go on and we got down to business.

First up we check out the new yumminess.

and then onto our main project for the night...

Loving these pretty colours.

Original layout inspiration credit to Kelly Goree

Everyone humming along nicely with their pages.

My assistant Paula, available and ready to help where needed.

Once everyone arrived, got drinks and settled...

We pretty much got down to business into our project.
