Nic Howard's Christmas Card Buffet - REPORT

Kathleen, Nic Howard and Trina McClune

Hi all!
As promised, here is the photo report from last Saturdays special event class - Nic Howard's Christmas Card Buffet!

I got to introduce/assist in this class (not that I had to do much!) and could insert lots of descriptive words about fun and activity - cos there WAS lots of fun and activity as you will see from the following photos but perhaps the best descriptions come from the wonderful emails waiting for me in my inbox when I arrived at home that night....

Hi Kathleen & all the ladies at nzscrapbook,

I’d like to say thank you to you all for organising such a fun event for your customers today. I am usually a scrapbooker only but this year I decided to try a few new things & have been enjoying your wonderful Kaiser Christmas workshops, Wendy’s terrific card making, been to some Saturday make ‘n takes and now today’s fun event. So thank you all for providing the opportunities.

Merry Christmas to you all,

Wendy Stewart

Hi Kathleen

Thanks for the great card buffet with Nic Howard today. It was great – heaps of fun and lots of inspirational ideas. I got lots of cards done and I am looking forward to the next session! You are so well organised and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. Thanks once again to each and everyone there today.

Lindsay Dobbinson

Wendy and Lindsay thank you for taking the time to email! We so appreciate the feedback and we are glad you had a good time. We want to make every experience at NZ Scrapbook a happy one.

On with the pictures!

This attentive class may look orderly and serene right now... give it a few minutes and it become an active hive of creativity!

See what I mean?! hehehe
But I'm getting ahead of myself...

Nic started the class by inviting a volunteer to assist while doing her best Betty Crocker impersonation. Christmas fudge is the best! and if you havent tried Nic's recommended Betty Crocker variety then be sure to give it ago. It was easy and fast enough to demonstrate in front of more than 50 ladies so it is certainly easy for home!

Check out the decadent result! Everyone got a taste test and a little cupcake full for their christmas gift baggie to take home.

Better than fudge though was the abundance of Prima goodness that Nic poured on.
In the words of one of my teachers Fenn..
"It makes you want to climb on the table and roll in it!" too cute!

Nic had a selection of cards and gift baggies complete with instructions for each person to make.

They could then complete the cards according to the instructions or adapt as they like. The array of embellishments on the buffet tables increasing the creative options onehundred fold!

Two hours of glueing, arranging, spritzing and laughing!

And before long each persons collection of completed cards started to grow.

Of course there were prize to be had too!

Congrats Ingrid (such a sweetheart!)

Enjoy those epoxy stickers Noeline! (frequent and kind class participant!)

Yay Ann! (Yup shop.gurl participants get to win too!)

Congrats Paula! (and I KNOWS she loves Prima! go you!)

So many fantastic cards made. Lots of fun with inspiring products!

It was a pleasure to host Nic in this special event class and I know everyone had a great time. Thanks Nic for a fantastic class!!!!
