New class series: Creative Research Project

A page on fragrance in my journal

Interested in Altered Arts, Journals, creating your own books or art projects but just need a hand?
Want to learn something new by adopting a curious nature?

This new class is for you!

I loved projects when I was at school. Projects on Space, Africa, Victorian costumes... You search for information (ahh the age of encyclopedias!), read up, find pictures and spend far too long drawing borders and titles...

I want to keep learning stuff! What do the highs and lows in weather really mean? Why do cicadas wake up at the same time? What stories in history can I find about that beautiful wood pigeon outside my window? How does electricity work?

Inspiration and learning... then put it together in the form of a beautiful book, box or inspired canvas or file. I will help you achieve your art goal. AND we get to go on a FIELD TRIP!

Session One: Thursday 29th April, 6.30pm - We discuss ideas, formats, a subject ideas. Please come with a topic you wish to explore in mind
Session Two: Thursday 13th May, 6.30pm
Field Trip: Saturday 22nd May (Details to be advised at class) - Trip to Auckland Museum for research, photo taking and sketching.
Session Three: Thursday 27th May, 6.30pm
Session Four: Thursday 10th June, 6.30pm

Each session is $15.00. This workshop series is similar to a guided art crop. Please bring materials you wish to work with.

What subject will you choose to explore??
