Mega Crop Tonight!

Our monthly Mega Crop is TONIGHT.  First one in our new shop!  Six hours of full on scrapping, paper crafting, fun and conversation. Stay for the full six hours of come for just a couple if you wish. Suitable for beginners and advanced scrapbookers as you will be using the time and tables to work on your own projects with the friendly assistance of our crop tutors.

Includes: Tea, coffee, light supper
Please bring: Your current projects or photos to work with and any tools and materials you might have. Product may be purchased on the night if you wish.

Fur babies

Hi folks,
As mentioned in a couple of emails I recently added little baby rabbits to my family.   They are BEAUTIFUL!  I'm not normally an animal person - resisting pets until now but these little guys have captured my heart bigtime.  Kids and I are bunny mad.  Anyways a few people had asked me when I was going to post a photo so here it is:

Among other things I have been a little cooking crazy of late - well the delectable Little and Friday cafe nearby has just published a book.  (oh my).  AND have a competition running where you make something from the book, post pic to Facebook and votes win.  So the above was my entry.  Those are oversize meringues... WITH raspberries and dark chocolate.  Boy, author Kim Evans is a genius! hehe

Tigerlily Workshop, ATC Swap and NEW papers

Morning folks!
Hope you are having an awesome day so far.  Lots of fun things underway at the store this week.  I think you could finally say we are ORGANIZED.  Ok well mostly, but good things take time right?  More new papers arrived yesterday. Lots even but I will share with you just one picture because really they have to be enjoyed in person.  This selection of papers is from the Everyday Tango collection.  We are just loving the orange and pink combination at the moment and who can refuse a paisley styled lily?  Not me!



Continuing with the orange and pink theme Tracy has used Kaisercraft Tigerlily collection in her class this week.  Join her this Thursday evening as she leads you through making this graceful winged theme page.  Title can be adapted to suit your photos.  Just $25 for this 2hour workshop and includes materials.

Also on Thursday evening is Altered Book Club which of late could really be called Artist Trading Card and lots of Talky Catch-up Club! The artist trading card swaps we have been doing each month have been going from strength to strength with some distintive styles coming to the fore.  We would love for you to join us.  To participate please bring 16 (we will be upping it to 20 before long!) Artist Trading Cards to swap on the theme Vintage.  For more information about Artist Trading Cards or this swap call in store and chat to our friendly staff.  All welcome to join in.

Altered Book Club is informal and fun!  A great way to meet crazy - I mean crafty! peoples. :)


By the way, I did add two fur babies to my wee family.  oh my, I was a little nervous at first but baby bunny cuddles are addictive.... no one will miss for for a few hours right?

School Holiday Program and Update

Hi all,
I hope you are enjoying the school holidays.  Wow, what an awesome Easter Weekend weather-wise.  Aucklanders would it be fair to say it was better weather than we have had all summer??!

We have all shifted at some time or another so I am sure you are understanding that moving shop premises has been a major mission but the new shop is looking WONDERFUL and we love our new space.  Feedback from those who have visited the store has been so positive and encouraging.  We are glad you are loving all the parking and our inviting space.  New stock is arriving every day at the moment so it will be good to get the shelves full of creative goodies.  Call in often to see the new arrivals.

Classes are up and running, tonight is Crop Night and Scrapbooking Techniques with Tracy.  Unfortunately I don't have a photo to share but she has made a lovely layout using the Kaisercraft Tigerlily collection (oranges and pinks).  Tracy's class is at 7pm.  All welcome.


Anyways back to the school holidays - YES we have our school holiday program running these school holidays.  Three fun sessions so be sure to book in ASAP so you don't miss out.
The dates are:
Monday 16th April
Wednesday 18th April
Thursday 19th April

Children will be making scrapbook layouts at each session so bring photos and adults are welcome to attend too.

Workshops run from 10am - 12.30pm and include morning tea.
Suitable for school aged boys and girls. Children eight years and under require an adult to stay for the duration.

Just $15 per child/per session and includes materials
Suitable for Beginner and experienced kid (and adult) scrapbookers!

New Store - First Crop Night Tomorrow!

Hi everyone,
Join us for our first Crop Night tomorrow, Thursday 5th April at 6pm at our new premises.  It's time to christen our store with some scrapbooking action.  Be the first!   We have a great upstairs classroom area - much similar to the last store actually - so you can relax, craft and select items from the store if you wish.

As I was saying in yesterday's email there are some LOVELY new collections to enjoy in store.  My hot pick is the Bazzill Vintage Market Place though with Easter coming up the Kaisercraft Fine and Sunny collection is giving it a run for its money.  Course at just $2.50 a sheet we can have a bit of both can't we! :)

It's an exciting day here in NZ Scrapbook land.  First day open in our bea-u-tiful new shop.  Admittedly there is a lot still to sort, unpack and merchandise but it is so lovely in our shiny new premises the girls and I just don't want to leave.

But before we get to that, a little heads up that it is going to be a HUGE...  and I mean HUGE month here at NZ Scrapbook.  Not only have we moved into this lovely new store but it is EASTER just this weekend AND April is our birthday month.  Not just any birthday either.  New Zealand Scrapbook is celebrating our TEN YEAR BIRTHDAY.  Quite a milestone!  We have LOTS planned for this month so instead of hitting you with it all at once just be sure to check our regular emails for special birthday classes, events and of course new product releases.
