New magazines, Thursday scrapbooking and more!
Hi everyone,
It is back to a bit of routine for those of us with school aged children. As you can see from the photo above the School Holiday Program participants had a very productive and fun time creating scrapbook layouts (and at other classes, off the page projects). Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a success! This week we have our regular favourite activities that you are invited to attend. Thursday night is always a goodie in the store with the Scrapbooking Techniques with Tracy workshop,Crop Night and this week, Altered Book Club. If you are interested in Altered Book Club (or curious about Artist Trading Cards/Art Journals - the more recent term Smash Books) ask for me (Kathleen) in store and I will be happy to talk to you about our fun meetings and upcoming classes. Recently we have maxed out our numbers at Altered Book Club but there may be spaces to join in for next month. Our latest shipment of Magazines has just arrived including new Scrapbook Trends. Scrapbooking Techniques with Tracy
Date: Thursday 19th July at 7pm and Monday 23rd July at 10am Class fee: $25 which includes materials Please bring: Photos, your basic kit and adhesives A lovely layout of Kayla, Tracy's daughter on her ball night. I love the combination of natural vintage papers and the richness of the plum and glitter. This layout would suit any formal or special occasion photo and title adapted to suit your photos. School Holiday Program underway - Spaces available!
Child scrapbooking fun!Hello everyone,What a wooly start to the school holidays! I live by the bush and I tell you everything is wet wet WET! Pretty sure it will stay that way until September... needless to say it is definitely an indoor holidays. So if you and your school aged children are starting to feel a bit housebound, grab a brolly and head on down to one of our school holiday workshops. Thursday 5th July - Slide border layoutSlide Border Layout: Bring your photos along for this simple but stylish border layout. Alternative colour and creative embellishment options available. Choose your title to suit your photos. A great addition to all albums. |
Monday 9th July - Birthday bunting layoutBirthday bunting layout: This bright fun layout is great for party photos! Don't worry if your photos are a different theme, with a title modification and paper changes you can have a stunner layout with what ever photos you bring. |
Tuesday 10th July - Decorated box and stamped cardsDecorated Box and stamped cards: Our off-the-page project for the week is this cute handmade folded box. With its own lid children can decorate with flowers, ribbon, lettering and patterned paper as they wish ready to be filled with special treasures. To follow Leanne will be showing the children how to make stamped cards to take home. |
Thursday 12th July - Pinwheel layoutPinwheel Layout: Choose your papers and embellishments to personalize this super cute layout. Leanne will be teaching the children to make their own pinwheel border. Bring photos to create this neat page. |
Workshops run from 10am - 12.30pm and include morning tea. Suitable for school aged boys and girls. Children eight years and under require an adult to stay for the duration. Just $15 per child/per session and includes materials Suitable for Beginner and experienced child (and adult) scrapbookers!

Has been great to see so many children (and grandparents/Mums!) join us for the sessions so far. Everyone comes out of the crafting morning with a proud handful of items they have created ready to enjoy the rest of their holiday day.
