Artist Trading Card workshop this Saturday

Lara's Finished ATC's

With an Artist Trading Card workshop coming up this Saturday I thought I would share with you some photos from last months workshop. Everyones cards were completely different with individual colour schemes. One class but so much variety!

If you are not familiar with Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) they are small artworks of playing card size. The idea is that they are small enough to make a number of them in your chosen medium and exchange with other artists. Pretty much the only rule is the size - that is, 2 1/2" x3 1/2" which can fit into trading card sleeves.

Over the years I have traded cards from artists all around the world. I especially love to note cultural styles from country to country... for the record New Zealand and Australian ATC artists appreciate and seem to add a fair bit of detail and layers to their cards.

Last month's ATC workshop featured a collage background technique, embossing, pearl pigments and lava gel (my fav!). This week's ATC workshop has different techniques to try including Texture Paste and Twinkling H2O's.

Also each participant receives a Collage Image Pack to use and for future projects. Last month was fairies and classic images... I'm am completely loving this weeks pack - Antique Roses and Seed Packets.. yummy yum yum yum!

ALL WELCOME
