Market Day Success! Photos galore

Some of the sights of our Spring Market Day. Click the image for a larger view.

Heya friends,
Well this is one mammoth post! Between the lovely Els and I we managed to take well over 100 photos of our Spring Market Day. I've done my best to condense it down and my apologies in advance if I put the wrong name in somewhere.

It was a great day!
With 23 stall holders all prepared with a wide variety of fare there was a lot to enjoy and be tempted by. I know all the staff in attendance and myself went home very happy campers with cakies, fruit and handmade items.

There was a good turnout of visitors of the fair, next time I will work out a way to count all that attended. The Spring Market Day was advertised in the local paper three times, through our store data base and via flyers handed out outside Sunnynook Countdown (who are great by the way!) so it was nice to see new faces from the general community as well as friendly regular customers.

Our next Market day will be Christmas themed is scheduled for early November. I will send out a Save The Date notice as soon as we confirm which Saturday it will be so you have plenty of time to prepare.

Anyways on with the photos!

With stall holders downstairs...

...and upstairs, there was a lot to see throughout the store.

Linda, Tracy and Brooke stop shopping long enough for a quick photo op

They were checking out this wonderful collection of owl figurines that Maureen and Anne were selling along with lacy coat hangers and handmade cards. FYI, that cute Grandma and Grandpa owl set have made themselves a new home with ME! They are too cute.

Continuing with the stands downstairs this time I get snapped for a pic with Sheryl who did a wonderful job manning a stash stand.

No secret cupcakes are all the rage and once you try one from Sidecakes you'll see why! Delish!
Sidecakes run school holiday workshops too. Email sidecakes@hotmail.co.nz for more info

Emma Page Jewelry had a beautiful selection of items. With independent consultant Jo Lomax to take care of you. (contact info to come)

Keen crocheter Christine had her products for sale. Her most popular items are the crochet flower embellishments. Personally I'm keen on the Angry Birds toys. I've already put in my order for my techy friends Christmas presents. Orders can be made via the store. Angry Birds are just $15 each.

No Market Day is complete without facepainting and with expert facepainter Kara she was just the gal for the job. Kara can be contacted for childrens parties and events at www.paintedfaces.co.nz

Moving on upstairs!

Mandy and Debbie with jewelry, cards, scrapbooking items and more. Some treasures on this table!

Fused glass jewelry was new to me. Of particular interest - a microwave kiln! Beautiful items to buy or learn to make your own with Glaze

Tupperware continues to be a firm favourite. Consultant Kirsten Benton can be contacted at aaron.kirsten@xtra.co.nz

Jamie and Ella Rodgers had a pretty selection of scrapbooking products and magazines.

Market pro's Leanne and Mary display marmalade, greeting cards and fudge. I spied a coconut ice piece on her table as big as my head! ok maybe exaggerating a little.. but it was BIG

Tracy's daughter Brooke displays decorated wood boxes and scrapbooking magazines. Would you believe those mags were only $2! Magazines make great page inspiration guides.

Phillip had a varied selection of items on his stall. Relishes and fudge, fruit and cards. Good stuff! Need a personalised card? Phillip can be contacted at phil_roberts@xtra.co.nz

Penny bought with her a selection of craft that can also be found at the Craft Co-op at Matakana Country Park.

Dollworld and Charmed World with of course dollmaking supplies.. I however snapped up some goodies for card making. Was very tempted to buy some fake grass for miniature displays (which I'm sure would end up in an altered book). Will add it to the list!

This stand was a treat! I tried my first Portuguese Pasteis de Nata - the true meaning of yummy.
Created by Baker's Hat Events, Gifts and Crafts perfect for gifts and hospitality

First time market seller Wendy James was selling handmade cards that must have taken weeks and weeks to create her large selection. Perfect timing for Father's Day.

Another diverse stand this time from Mei Hong. Food items included some tasty ABC mini muffins which I learnt stand for Apple, Banana and Chocolate. As well as some lovely greeting cards and wine charms. Mei's fine products can be purchased at Craftworld out west.

Wendy had a very pretty display of Cath Kidston products. I especially liked the large sewing basket and saw a very happy customer taking one home. Wendy sells via Trademe.

Born crafter Sheryl Sefton doesn't go far without a project to keep her fingers busy. I can relate! With a selection of stamps, altered dolls, gift packaging and textile craft the hardest part is choosing. Find Sheryl on the web at www.creativegiftdesign.co.nz

More scrapbooking stash for sale - great time to grab a bargain!

Bryce at the BBQ wheel. Between you and me he was the master behind the Lemon Meringue pies.. ALL of which were snaffled up pretty quick!

And of course to keep the coggs moving our wonderful girls Fenn and Kathy. See Fenn, I didn't post that pic of you and the sausage ;)
