Christmas Shopping Notebook Take Home Project

1. Fold your 6” x 6” square of double sided patterned paper in half vertically to form the cover of your notebook.

2. Cover the pencil with the green strip of thin cardstock. Suggested glue is the Scotch Quick–dry tacky adhesive. Roll the pencil in your hands to ensure complete adhesion.

3. Cut your narrow strip of red cardstock into three 2 ½” pieces. Roll all three pieces around the pencil to get the correct loop sizing.

This picture is to show the placement of the three loops

4. Adhere your top loop 1 ½” from the top edge onto the back inside cover edge.
Adhere your bottom loop 1 ½” from the bottom edge onto the back inside cover edge.
Adhere your middle loop to the centre edge on the inside of the front cover. The loop will fit between the two back loops when your notebook is closed.

5. Adhere the red cover linings to the inside of the front and back covers. This will cover the loop ends.

6. Fold your white A4 paper in half horizontally and trim away the folded edge so the total height is 5 ½”. Cut your paper into 2 ½” widths and trim away the corners on a sharp angle to create a tag shape.

7. Punch a hole in the top of your tag stack and all the way through the back cover.

8. Tie through the holes with your fibre to hold your tag notepaper in place.

9. Apply gold pen or paint to the edges of your green rectangle cardstock then adhere onto the front cover.
10. Apply gold pen or paint to the edges of your Christmas bauble, tie with metallic thread, apply foam dots to the back of the bauble and adhere to the center of your green cardstock.
11. Complete with a green rhinestone, Kindy glitz and hand journaling. Weave the pencil through the edge loops to hold your notebook closed.

Your notebook is now ready add lists and notes!
