Hi All,
One of the things we love to do at our Product Preview's is to send you home with a fun project using some awesome product - in this case shimmery paper, vellum and of course Core'dinations ColorCore cardstock!
So since the phrase A Wendy Wonder was coined last night (it's going to stick Marie!)... here goes...
Wendy Wonder Envelope Mini Book
1. Fold the two die cut envelopes to create the envelope, you can seal the sides now to form the envelopes pocket or when you come to insert the tags.
2. Fold the envelope closure flap down as if to close the envelope but then curl in half again and fold. This will strengthen the mini book's spine.
3. Alternate the vellum and cardstock book pages setting one piece of vellum aside to use on the front cover. You may wish to use a small photo split along the spine edge of the pages to stop them moving around while you work.
4. Place the pages between the two folded envelopes with the spines aligned.
5. Open the envelopes out so they are now lying laying back to back and the pages revealed, mark three placements for the eyelets and then punch and secure your eyelets into place.
6. Thread with fiber through the eyelets for decoration and further spine strength.
7. Thread fiber through the tags and place into one of they envelope pockets.
8. Saving one small tab for the cover, fold the remaining small tabs and glue to the page edges as desired.
9. To decorate the book cover, tear around the edges of the remaining piece of vellum and screw up then flatten to create a crumpled effect. Sand around the edges of your ColorCore die cut heart shape to reveal the core colour. Secure into place with adhesive. Then decorate further with a tab held into place at the base of the heart with two eyelets and stitch a large cross on the top of the heart with a piece of fiber.
Your Envelope mini book is now ready to have photos, notes, journaling, tickets, whatever! added to it. If you have any questions about the construction we will be happy to help.
