Product Preview Crate Paper 2008 Release - Take Home Project Instructions

Hi all!

Product Preview: Crate Paper 2008 Release shaped up to be a great night! Thank you to all our participants... here are your Take Home Project instructions:

Crate Paper Heart flower book

Pretty on the outside...

...and on the inside!

Fold each piece of square shimmer paper in half along the diagonal

Unfold, turn over and fold in half into a rectangle

Unfold, then fold in half again across the other rectangle (I'm sure there is a proper origami way of saying this... hope you can see what I mean from the pictures!)

Using the folds you have created fold the points inward so that the paper folds flat into a quarter paper sized square. Repeat these steps for all four coloured paper squares.

Take one of your cardstock hearts and lay it on the surface of your folded paper so that the curved heart top is closest to your open points. The straight lines of the heart align with the edges of the folded square. Draw around the curved heart shape.

Cut along only the curved heart top. The straight edges remain uncut and folded. Repeat the tracing and cutting steps for all four squares of paper.

Apply glue to the surface of your folded heart.

Then adhere your next folded heart on top aligning all the edges. Repeat for the remaining two hearts until all four are glued together.

Glue the one blue heart to the front and one to the back of your assembled heart pages, these will create the covers. Decorate the front cover of your heart book with patterned Crate Paper, ribbon, rub-ons, star die cuts and Kindy Glitz. Punch two holes in the top of the heart and tie with fibre. The inside pages can be adorned with the remaining die cut shapes and of course photos and journalling.

We do have some additional heart kits remaining, so if you would like another or didn't make it to our Product Preview event we do have some available for sale.

Have fun!
