Cool product for ATC Collectors!

Hi all!

Being a bit of an ATC (Artist Trading Card) collector I am loving the new products in from 7Gyspies!

For those new to ATC's, artist trading cards are small card sized pieces of art that are traded among artists (this includes you! - stampers, scrapbookers, collage artist....) as a way of collecting a tiny piece of that persons art and in turn giving a little piece of your own.

In my own collection I have art from all around the world... from local gals here in NZ to Australia, USA, Denmark, France, Finland, Canada and Belgium. The styles are diverse and are fascinating to look through and a lot of fun to make!

The general rules for ATC's are that they are created at a standard size of 2 1/2"x 3 1/2" and are flat enough that they will slip into a card holder (embellishments are ok). Other than that, they can be made of card, fabric, plastic, photos.... hand drawn, stamped, painted, stitched... any theme under the sun or no theme at all! My favourite is to create a series and then number them - exclusive! hehehee

Here are a couple of my ATC's:

Using stamped images, scrapbooking papers and a label maker.

These ones use playing cards, stamped images, sewing findings and vintage images.

The other cool thing about ATC's is due to there small size you can usually finish a couple fairly quickly. I'm all for the accomplishment of completion!

Anyways!! The fun new stuff:

This ATC revolving stand is pretty wow-ish! What a cool way to display your collection.

This punch allows you to make slots in your cards so they attach onto the stand easily.

French Dictionary ATC bases. A perfect starting point to add your own designs.

These cards are called "97% Complete" add words, images, photos - your choice!

These are ATC sized alphabet transparencies. These would make a fantastic overlay on a ATC base... I'm also thinking pretty fab for lots of other collage and scrapbooking projects.

All the above product is currently available in store now.

Have a go at making your own ATC's. Don't forget to name them on the reverse and add your email and location.

Ooooh!!! If you let me know you are going to make one I will gladly swap you one of mine! email me :) I'm up for it!! Yes, I will send international :)

Byes for now

Crate Paper Layouts (Sarah Groen)

Hi there, Sarah here from the design team. I have been working with these gorgeous papers from 'Crate Paper' this month. The colours and patterns are fantastic and are very easy to co-ordinate. The papers are cardstock weight and double sided so you get twice the creative options for each sheet. Each range has its own sheets of gorgeous co-ordinating die cuts and rub-ons. I found them really fun to work with.
Thanks for looking, :)Sarah

Cricut & Cuttlebug News!

Hi!
Well I've well and truly been bitten by the Cricut and Cuttlebug bug, I just cant wait to get my hands on the new products that are coming, and some that are already here!
First things first -

Beat the price rise on the Cricut Expressions Machine! The Cricut Expressions have had a price increase to $799 however you can buy now while stocks last and get it for the old price of $749! This offer is available both in store and on our website, so be in quick!

Check out the new Cricut Create machine
The Cricut Create is similar to the Cricut Personal Cutter in size, but can compete with the Cricut Expression for its functionality. The Cricut Create has five new functions (which are also available on the Cricut Expression) - Rotate/Portrait, Fit to page, Auto Fill, Flip and Centre Point. It also comes with a completely new featured cartridge - Don Juan.

This machine is fantastic if you don't have the space for the Cricut Expressions Machine and want the portability, but you need a little more functionality than the original Cricut offers.

Next we have the new Cricut Jukebox - no, it doesn't play music while you scrap, it plays all of your cartridges at once.
No more tedious waiting while you wait for your machine to power up and down as you switch out the cartridges, you can have 6 cartridges in per Jukebox - and you can stack them!

The base has handy storage for your overlays and design books, and the handle makes it easily portable.

There are FOUR new cartridges being released this month - check them out on our website HERE.
Also take a look at the EIGHT recent Cricut Solution releases HERE. The nifty thing about the solutions cartridges is that they are tailored to meet your specific project needs. The Cricut Solutions font cartridges contain one full alphabet with Shadow and Shadow Blackout features. The Cricut Solutions shape cartridges contain 50 shapes with Shadow and Blackout features. These are basic cartridges without the extra creative features, but this is also reflected in the lower price - plus, for those of you with the Cricut Design Studio, you'll still be able to manipulate these images to your hearts desire.

Did I say there there was Cuttlebug News? Well stop holding your breath folks, the long awaited Christmas embossing folders are coming!

Not only that, but there are awesome new border embossers, 3x3 and A2 Cut & Emboss Combos, and plenty of new A2 embossers to choose from. These items are due for release in two batches, some are July, some are August. You can pre-order online or in store to ensure you don't miss out on these great new designs.

Thats all from me today,
Have fun with your bugs!

Product Preview: Prima "Prima-licous!" Take Home Project instructions...

Hi all,
Hope you have had a great day! We had a fun night last night at Product Preview: Prima "Prima-licous!"

Here are the Take Home Project instructions:
Mini book - Pages from one sheet of paper

1. Fold your pearl sheet of paper in half length ways

2. Then fold into quarters

3. Unfold then fold from the bottom up to the center fold line.

4. Fold down from the top and match up with the center fold line.

5. Completely unfold and then re-fold back in half

6. Using scissors cut along the vertical fold in from the fold edge side up to the first fold mark.

7. Open up your paper again then re-fold long ways as shown.

8. Holding each end of the paper, push the paper inwards so that it opens along the cut lines.

9. Keep pushing the ends inwards and push one of the flaps forwards until it folds into book pages as above. Press all the creases firmly.

10. Fold your ribbon in half and wrap around your book pages. Adhere into place.
11. Adhere one of your pieces of green cardstock to the back of your book pages to create the back cover.

(Thanks Ilka for this idea!)

12. On the punched corner trim with scissors to the shape of the punched daisy.

13. Adhere to your greeny cardstock and then onto the front of your mini book.

14. Apply the punched daisy shape onto the lower left corner of your book and embellish with two pearls. Complete with a rub-on if desired (not included).

Your mini book is now ready for use as a wee notepad, gift, or teeny album. Enjoy!
